rbfLAB, together with RBF Morph, is pleased to announce its participation in the 55th AIAS Conference, which will take place from 2 to 5 September 2026 at the Politecnico di Milano – Campus Bovisa La Masa.
The AIAS Conference is one of the leading scientific events in Italy dedicated to the fields of Mechanical Design and Machine Construction. It provides an important forum for researchers, academics, and industry professionals to exchange ideas, present innovative research, and discuss the latest developments in engineering methods and technologies.
During the conference, Prof. Marco E. Biancolini, founder of RBF Morph and Scientific Director of rbfLAB, will present two scientific contributions demonstrating advanced applications of mesh morphing and numerical simulation technologies in the aerospace and automotive sectors. These works reflect the ongoing commitment of rbfLAB to developing innovative computational methodologies that bridge academic research and industrial practice.
Prof. Biancolini will also deliver the masterclass entitled “AI for Interactive Structural Optimization: From FEM to VR.” The session will explore how Artificial Intelligence can enhance interactive structural optimization by integrating Finite Element Analysis with Virtual Reality, illustrating new approaches for accelerating engineering workflows, improving design exploration, and supporting more informed decision-making throughout the product development process.
Participation in AIAS 2026 represents another valuable opportunity for rbfLAB to contribute to the scientific community, share its latest research activities, and strengthen collaborations with researchers and industrial partners working at the forefront of computational engineering.
Registration for the conference is free. Additional information, the complete technical program, and registration details are available on the official AIAS 2026 website: https://www.aiasnet.it/aiasnet.it/AIAS2026/index.html
