Call for Applications: Study Prizes for Master's Theses on Sustainable Development – University of Rome Tor Vergata

The Office for Sustainable Development at the University of Rome Tor Vergata has announced a public call for applications for the awarding of 12 study prizes to students who, during the 2023/2024 academic year, obtained a Laurea Magistrale or Laurea Magistrale a Ciclo Unico at the University by discussing a thesis on topics related to sustainable development, in alignment with the goals outlined in the United Nations 2030 Agenda.

This initiative is implemented in accordance with the University’s Mission and Vision for Sustainable Development. It aims to promote critical reflection and stimulate academic research in this field, while recognizing and rewarding the efforts of young scholars who, through their master’s theses, have demonstrated particular sensitivity and interest in identifying and addressing sustainability issues. Eligible theses may relate to a wide range of disciplines, including but not limited to the scientific, medical, economic, legal, historical, and statistical domains.

A total of 12 study prizes, each worth €800 gross, will be awarded, amounting to an overall fund of €9,600. It should be noted that theses specifically addressing Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 5 – Gender Equality – are excluded from this competition, as they are the subject of a separate call titled the “Giulia Cecchettin Prize.”

Applications must be submitted no later than July 18, 2025, exclusively via the following online form:
