Simulation and Modelling in Aerospace and Defence: A CFD Workshop

A full-day workshop dedicated to the fundamentals and advanced applications of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) in the aerospace and defence domain will take place in Milan on 24 March 2026. The event is organised by Ansys and is designed to foster dialogue between industry practitioners and the research community on current methodological developments and emerging technological applications.

The programme will address a range of advanced simulation approaches, including high-speed external aerodynamics, fluid–structure interaction modelling, digital twin methodologies, and optimisation strategies for complex engineering workflows. Contributions will feature perspectives and applied case studies from leading industrial organisations, including Leonardo and CETENA S.p.A. - Centro per gli Studi di Tecnica Navale, providing insight into the role of computational modelling in contemporary aerospace and naval engineering.

The workshop will be held in person at Starhotels Echo from 09:30 to 16:15 and will be conducted in Italian. Participation offers an opportunity to engage with current research directions, industrial applications, and advanced simulation tools relevant to the aerospace and defence sectors.

Further information and registration details are available via the event registration page.
