rbfLAB is proud to announce the participation of Prof. Marco Evangelos Biancolini, Associate Professor at the University of Rome Tor Vergata, at the upcoming Ansys EMEA Transportation Summit and LS-DYNA User Conference 2025.
The in-person event will take place on October 28–29, 2025, at the BMW Welt in Munich, Germany. This prestigious summit brings together leading engineers, researchers, and industry professionals to explore the latest challenges and innovations shaping the transportation sector — from crash analysis and human body modeling to battery development, software-defined vehicles, and simulation-led AI.
Prof. Biancolini will deliver a talk titled:
“Occupant-Specific Safety Assessment Using a Parametric THUMS Model.”
His presentation will focus on the integration of parametric modeling techniques and human body models (HBMs) to enhance occupant safety analysis in crash simulations. By leveraging Radial Basis Functions morphing and advanced simulation workflows, this research enables personalized safety assessments that account for individual variability — a step forward in tailoring safety systems to real-world occupants rather than idealized models.
The Ansys EMEA Transportation Summit is a day-and-a-half gathering designed to connect professionals driving the evolution of mobility. Through a rich program of technical sessions, customer case studies, workshops, and networking, participants will gain insights into how simulation and AI are accelerating innovation across the automotive industry.
