LivGemini Featured in TecnoMedicina: Advancing Aortic Aneurysm Diagnosis with AI and Computational Modeling

We are proud to share that LivGemini, the startup originating from our research laboratory, has been featured in TecnoMedicina. The article includes an interview with CEO and Founder Leonardo Geronzi, along with co-founders Andrea Baldini and Marco Evangelos Biancolini, highlighting the development and clinical relevance of VENUS—a pioneering software solution in the field of cardiovascular diagnostics.
VENUS is the first software platform that integrates artificial intelligence with computational modeling to support the diagnosis of thoracic aortic aneurysms. Developed with the goal of improving clinical workflows, VENUS equips physicians with a tool for accurate, standardized, and rapid analysis of CT imaging data.
As Leonardo Geronzi states, “VENUS was created to support radiologists, cardiologists, and cardiovascular surgeons in the efficient evaluation of CT scans, offering immediate, structured reports. The software automatically extracts critical diagnostic parameters, including maximum diameter, local curvature, volume, aortic segment length, and dilation extent. Moreover, it enables longitudinal analysis, facilitating the objective assessment of disease progression over time.”
By combining in-silico modeling with artificial intelligence, VENUS marks a significant step toward more personalized and efficient cardiovascular care, where automated image interpretation plays a central role in enhancing diagnostic precision and clinical decision-making.
