2nd International Workshop on Engineering Methodologies for Medicine and Sport (EMMS 2026)

University of Rome Tor Vergata — February 18–20, 2026

The University of Rome Tor Vergata is pleased to announce that preparations are underway for the 2nd International Workshop on Engineering Methodologies for Medicine and Sport (EMMS 2026). The workshop is becoming a significant international forum dedicated to the integration of biomechanics, medicine, rehabilitation, and sport science, with the aim of fostering innovation and advancing human health and performance through engineering methodologies.

We are also pleased to highlight the participation of Prof. Marco Evangelos Biancolini, Professor of Machine Design at the University of Rome Tor Vergata, who will serve on the Scientific Committee, contributing to the development and coordination of the scientific program.

The workshop will focus on multidisciplinary advances in biomaterials and additive manufacturing, AI-driven medical technologies and biosensing, biomechanics and rehabilitation systems, and sport performance and human physiology, promoting engineering solutions for healthcare, recovery, and athletic performance.

Proceedings and Venue

Accepted and peer-reviewed papers will be published in Springer’s Mechanism and Machine Science Series. The workshop will take place at the University of Rome Tor Vergata in Rome, Italy, from February 18 to 20, 2026, and participation will be free of charge.

EMMS 2026 aims to bring together researchers, clinicians, industry professionals, and innovators to promote interdisciplinary collaboration and to help shape the future of healthcare, rehabilitation, and sport technologies.
